Jessica Bekker lives and works in Amsterdam. During her study Philosophy she took courses in ceramics from Det Smeets, and at the same time choose for an individual programme for her masters, with courses at Dutch literature, western esotericism at religious studies, psychology and cultural anthropology.
During and after obtaining her degree, Jessica has worked for several non-profit organizations on social and economic issues. Currently she is thematic expert on water and sanitation in developing countries, with a specific focus on female empowerment. Both for her work, and out of personal interest Jessica has traveled regularly, from which she has absorbed a lot of inspiration. Hand crafted work with a soul, working 3-dimensional and reaching to the unspeakable of creating, give her inspiration.
